What makes the QWS Superior to most other meter-type
water softeners?
Other water softeners with simple, meter-type control
systems regenerate
after a fixed amount of water has passed through the meter.
These units have a preset reserve capacity to carry through
the day until the unit regenerates at night. If your usage
increases, the reserve capacity may not be enough and you can
run out of soft water
Water usage in a home can vary as much as 400% day-to-day.
What’s more, major changes in water usage can occur for many
reasons: vacations, a change in family size, the addition of
another bathroom, a new appliance, changing seasons, just to
name a few. A mechanical meter can’t adjust the reserve for
these changes.
THERE’S NO GUESSWORK WITH THE QWS
460i
The 460i series softener doesn’t operate on a fixed time
or water volume basis.
What’s the secret? The 460i control has an electronic
computer that measures how much soft water your family
actually uses day-after-day. It continually monitors changes
in usage and regenerates only when necessary.
Self adjusting reserve capacity.
The 460i knows exactly
how much soft water you use each day, and adjusts the reserve
capacity to meet your actual usage. As a result, the reserve
is kept at a minimum for optimum efficiency.
Exceptionally efficient.
The 460i never regenerates to
late or too soon. Your family will enjoy a continuous supply
of soft water and you will realize substantial savings in salt
and water.
Design reliability.
With it’s solid state electronics
you can depend on the 460i for years of trouble-free
performance. It’s metering system has only one moving part…a
rotating turbine that measures water and sends the magnetic
impulses to the computer.
Superior valve design.
The 255 valve is the only
frictionless valve on the market today. With it’s unique
valve disc design there are no seals to leak due to wear and
fatigue. And what’s more they are held closed by water
pressure and are leak tight.
Operating simplicity.
When your water softener is
installed in your home, the proper hardness, capacity, and
your family’s water usage is “locked” into the computers
memory. No homeowner adjustments are necessary. |
